REGULAR MEETS
Yukon Orienteering Championships
Coast mountain sports Sprint Series
Forty-seven competitors welcomed warm, sunny spring weather in Riverdale - many people ran in shorts. In the women's elite class, Pia, Jane, and Jennifer jostled for position. In the men's elite class, Colin ran a solid first, with Leif and Caelan having a tight finish for 2nd and 3rd place. The final race in the sprint series will be on May 16, meeting at Rotary Peace Park, and we will find out who will take the overall best scores in the various age classes. This event is also being held onWorld Orienteering Day, with events taking place all over the world.

Route Gadget
RouteGadget is an exciting web site that allows orienteers to draw their routes and replay races. Event organizers are encouraged to upload their maps, courses, and results. Visit rg.orienteering.ca to see some of the races that have already been uploaded. Step-by-step guides for both event organizers and participants can be found here.

DOMA
DOMA is YOA’s interactive map library where you can upload the race map from any Yukon event, trace (or import) your GPS track, and add quick comments about the route you chose. The archive then lets everyone replay the race—zooming in on split-second decisions, comparing route options, and spotting the clever lines (and the costly mistakes) of other runners.
