Club Membership

All participants must be a member of a Canadian orienteering club affiliated with the COF, or a club affiliated with another national body recognized by the IOF. If you aren't a member of a club you may join the Yukon Orienteering Association when you pick up your race package.

Course And Category Guidelines

As of January 28, 2011, the COF course and class guidelines have changed. See the tables below or this COF document for details. A total of 10 courses are offered for long and middle-distance courses. For sprint races, 5 courses are offered.

For the COC and WCOC, we offer open categories on courses 1-7 and group categories for courses 1-3. If you register for an open category, and select the sprint race, you will be assigned a course as follows:

• Open 1/2 moves to sprint course 1
• Open 3/4/5 moves to sprint course 2
• Open 6/7 moves to sprint course 3

For non-championship age class 21-34, we recommend Open W6 for women and Open M7 for men. If you choose these classes, you will be placed on course 3 for the sprint.

Banquet

There will be one banquet, held at the Mt. Lorne Community Center, the evening of Saturday July 23. This is the same venue as the COC camping. The banquet is a sit down meal and awards presentation.

Camping For COC's

There is pre-arranged camping for the COC's only (not for the WCOC's). The COC camping is for three nights (July 21-24) and can be reserved and paid for while registering. See accommodation for details.

T-Shirts

The T-shirts will have the COC 2011 logo and will be similar to the image here.

SI Cards

All competitors must have an SI card. If you have your own SI card, please enter its number carefully during registration. (At the start line, the number on your card must match the number in our records.)

Competitors who do not have an SI card can rent one at $2.50 per event (you don't need to pay for days for which you're not participating in an event). Competitors who don't return their rental SI cards will be charged a $70 replacement fee.

Zone4 and Payment

We are using Zone4 to process the registrations. They accept Visa and MasterCard for online payments. If you want to pay by cheque or money order, you may do so by completing the registration and selecting the Cash/Cheque payment option.

When you register, you will be able to include multiple runners with a single payment — so when you go to register have available all information about each person:

• Class to be entered in each event.
• SI number if you own an SI card.
• WRE number if applicable.
• Year of birth.
• T-shirt size.

You will receive an e-mail receipt for your registration that shows the items that make up the total payment.

Waivers

All participants must present a signed waiver when picking up a race package.

Refund Policy

• Until June 1, full refund less $40 administration fee.
• From June 1 to June 12, 75% refund (minimum $40 withheld).
• From June 13 onwards, no refund.
